Oamaru Bay features typical signifiers of a New Zealand summer - the dinghy, picnic table and pohutukawa. Naples yellow underpainting creates a sense of bright light, evoking the traditional experience of a summer’s day.
Pops of peach, magentas and brick reds accentuate the dappled light from the pohutukawa.
Painted with oil paint & oil pastels on oil paper. This is the original artwork, measuring 50 x 50 cm (+ frame & mat is 62cm). Artwork comes framed in a crisp white frame with mat board.
