Sarah Albisser's journey as a contemporary dancer and choreographer has deeply influenced her work as an artist. Over the past decade, her fascination with movement and self-expression has culminated in a striking series of black and white paintings, primarily focusing on female faces and characters.

Recently, after seventeen years working exclusively in monochrome, she has evolved her practice to incorporate metallic colours. Her paintings capture movement, emotion, and fleeting moments in time. Dancing between worlds, her works are deeply introspective and liminal, allowing her to transform significant emotional moments into narratives open for the viewer to engage in.
